ÇAĞ UNIVERSITY VR LAB
Establishment of VR Lab
The Virtual Reality Laboratory (VR Lab) was established through a collaboration between Çağ University and the Technological University of Dublin to conduct research on the use of virtual reality and metaverse technologies in education.
Supported in 2022 under a Scientific Research Project (BAP) led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Gülmez, the lab became operational in 2023 within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Çağ University.
VR Lab operates with an international academic team that includes:
Researchers from Çağ University,
Two researchers from the Technological University of Dublin,
One researcher from Alliance University (India),
One independent researcher from the United States.
The process for gaining official "application and research center" status is ongoing. To support this, the necessary notifications have been submitted to YÖK (Council of Higher Education) for the appointment of professors from TU Dublin and Alliance University as visiting researchers.
The VR Lab serves as a significant resource for international collaborations and research projects. Through its work in virtual reality and metaverse technologies, the lab:
Contributes to international academic literature,
Enriches students’ hands-on learning experiences,
Organizes promotional events for international scholars and students,
