Virtual Worlds Course | Final Showcase 2024-2025

What is the Virtual Worlds Course?

The Metaverse Course is an international program jointly organized by Technological University Dublin (Ireland), Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania), and Çağ University (Turkey). Delivered in Second Life, an immersive virtual environment, the course brings together students from different countries in a shared digital space.

Through their avatars, participants will explore how virtual environments function, gain hands-on experience in creating digital content, and learn how to effectively collaborate in intercultural and virtual teams. The program emphasizes overcoming challenges such as cultural differences, language barriers, time zones, and technological issues.

Beyond technical skills, the course fosters interaction, collaboration, and networking among students and lecturers from diverse disciplines, institutions, and cultures. Topics include the technological foundations of Virtual Worlds, as well as the ethical and social dimensions of these rapidly evolving digital spaces.

By the end of the semester, students will not only understand how Virtual Worlds operate but also recognize their growing role in today’s society.
